1987: Four international players were involved - C Gurney, A Bennett, E Mitchell and J Mitchell
1990: The club developed a strong team and gained promotion to national league 2.
1990-91: In their first two seasons in the higher division the club did extremely, well finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.
1992-93: During the season the team travelled to Amsterdam to compete in an International seven’s tournament.
1993-95: A second trip was done and Medway was placed 6th.
1995-98: Lost some players through retirement and injuries, and a 12-16 age group started at Medway. Hopefully we will see some girls merging into the women’s team in the future!
2000-01: Medway was in the National Challenge 2: had a good start to the season and ended up mid table at the end.
2001-02: Medway came 2nd in South East Region League. Gained new players from girl’s team: future looking better for our team.
2002-2003: Had our best season in a long time winning the league with a record no losses. Competed in Challenge Cup getting through to the Semi Finals. We gained promotion to South East 1. Lost players through retirement but again gained from girl’s team and new members. Had international player involved- Rachael Burford.
